MOSSY HARE
PUPPETRY DESIGN, MAKING, PUPPETEER
Made for Puppetry Perspectives
The Anthony Hopkins Courtyard, RWCMD 2021
Director - Lucy Hall & Marc Parrett
What is the limits to the stories puppets can tell? Inspired by the work of the 6 finalists of the Artes Mundi Prize, exhibiting in Cardiff summer 2021, we developed two outdoor shows performed for a series of small, socially distanced audiences during the Pandemic. With puppetry, movement and music made, composed and performed by RWCMD students.
Taking inspiration from the Aesthetics and work of Dineo Seshee Bopape, we developed an element of the production exploring the holistic nature our environments. As well as making cardboard fish, constellation creatures and my Main focus and design for the project was Mossy the Hare, A wooden, one person hare puppet, designed, made and puppeteered by me.
